ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Knoxville Police Department responded just after 4:00 a.m. Tuesday to a deadly single-vehicle crash in Fort Sanders at Highland Avenue and 19th Street, where a driver (who likely suffered a medical event) collided with a street sign and died at a hospital. WVLT 8
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ LCSO provided an update on the search for 51 year old Guy DeMasellis, who was last seen March 10, noting that deputies found a Kia Soul believed to be linked to his disappearance—later confirmed as unrelated. 10 News
- ➤ Knoxville police are asking for help finding 11-year-old Brailynn Boshears missing from a home in the 1600 block of Crestview Street in the Morningside community—she is about 5'2" tall and weighs 90 pounds and was last seen wearing a black Hello Kitty hoodie, black pants and black shoes—and ask anyone with information to call 911. - ➤ Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon addressed a housing shortage at a Rotary Club meeting and outlined plans to speed up new home development in our growing city. WVLT 8
- ➤ A bill that would allow wine and liquor sales in Knoxville’s new downtown stadium was sent to Gov. Lee’s desk for his signature—lowering the county population rule from 500,000 to 350,000 so Covenant Health Park can offer drinks. The venue will then serve alcohol at the Smokies’ first game on April 15 and future events. WVLT 8
