- ➤ Knoxville police said that on Friday morning officers responded to shots fired in the parking lot of Bucket Head Tavern on Ray Mears Boulevard where four people were injured, and they are now searching for a suspect described as a Black male in dark clothing driving a dark-colored sedan—injuries are reported as non-life-threatening. - ➤ A 24 year old man, Isaiah Renfroe, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment after allegedly drawing a handgun on a woman leaving Cedar Bluff Middle School on April 1 — officers later recovered the weapon and a packet of cannabis from him. 6 News

- ➤ Knoxville’s Parks & Recreation Department is launching a master plan to improve parks and greenways by holding six meetings and events in the coming weeks—community feedback will help shape changes to park spaces—locals are invited to join and share their ideas. WVLT 8
- ➤ The Department of Health and Human Services fired the entire staff of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) this week, putting a key utility service that helped over 8,000 Knox residents at risk, especially seniors and those relying on medical equipment. The local Community Action Committee will continue LIHEAP services while it awaits details on how the staff cuts may affect vulnerable households. 6 News
- ➤ Drivers in East Tennessee should prepare for road closures as the Clinch Avenue viaduct is closed from 1 p.m. today until 2:30 p.m. Sunday and marathon routes will be closed from 7:20 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday—Chalk Walk is drawing thousands downtown today. The Tennessee Department of Transportation has reported additional lane closures and a new Market Square pedestrian zone in effect from April 4 through April 9. 6 News
