- ➤ A 17-year-old girl is in critical condition after an accidental drowning in New Market on Monday evening when deputies arrived at a home on Whitaker Road around 6 p.m.—family members began CPR until first responders arrived—she was taken to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville. 6 News

- ➤ On Sunday, 62-year-old Jackie McBee knocked on a home on Mount Olive Road and used an AR-15 to force a longtime acquaintance to get on his knees before taking money, a watch and jewelry; police arrested him and charged him with aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery. WVLT 8
- ➤ Maurice D. Warren, a 47-year-old from Alcoa, has been indicted on charges of helping his friend Kenneth DeHart avoid arrest after the fatal shooting of Deputy Greg McCowan and injury of Deputy Shelby Eggers—records show he used $156 in cash to purchase two cell phones in West Knoxville. 10 News
