- ➤ Thirteen-year-old Eden Shockley, recently in remission from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, received a new room makeover from Knoxville group Dream Connection. Special Spaces joined the effort to create a room that reflects her love for sports and school. WVLT 8
- ➤ Knox Pride is expanding its food pantry at the Knox Pride Collaboration Suite near Sam Duff Memorial Park to serve local residents despite losing federal funding. The nonprofit partners with stores and other groups to offer up to 200 fresh meals a week and has given out more than 25,000 pounds of food since January plus it invites donations Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. while seeking a new accessible fridge with a freezer. 10 News

- ➤ A Knoxville family is demanding answers after their teen son Daevon Montez Saint-Germain was shot and killed by sheriff’s deputies on Jan 3 when they served a search warrant at his home on Sevierville Pike—attorney Ben Crump, hired by the family, said the official story does not add up. WVLT 8

- ➤ Dogwood Arts and the West Hills Neighborhood Association are hosting a spring celebration of the Dogwood Trails to honor art, culture and the natural beauty of East Tennessee. The family-friendly event will be held Saturday, April 19th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along the West Hills Greenway at (409 Vanosdale Road) and will feature food vendors, makers, a chalk walk, an Easter egg hunt starting at 9 a.m., and a volunteer dedication ceremony.
