ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday, a side-by-side vehicle fell off a trailer near Red Ash at Old Highway 63 around 5:45 p.m.—its operator was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, and about an hour later a four-wheeler crashed on Tower Road near the Cross Mountain trailhead, with the driver found unconscious and taken to the same hospital where recovery is expected. - ➤ A 75-year-old man died Saturday after falling from a boat on Norris Lake—bystanders administered CPR before emergency crews transported him to Campbell County Medical Center—according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. 6 News

- ➤ Cocke County’s property assessor cleared up repair rules for homes damaged by Hurricane Helene flooding over recent months—homeowners now have clearer steps to follow as they fix their homes. WVLT 8
- ➤ Sevier Avenue uses a new traffic pattern near Island Home Avenue as part of an 18-month, $19.2 million streetscape project that began in January and will continue through summer, with the street and its businesses staying open during construction. City officials say flaggers will guide drivers during one-lane periods as work on a roundabout and underground utility upgrades progresses—supporting efforts to reconnect neighborhoods divided by the river.
