- ➤ Morgan County Sheriff's Deputy Charles Faircloth, 56, was indicted on charges of criminally negligent homicide and official misconduct after he fatally shot 28-year-old John Cox on May 2nd while responding to a burglary at the 300 block of Ray Cross Road in Harriman — he surrendered at Loudon County Jail on Tuesday and is set for arraignment on May 27th. 6 News

- ➤ The Museum of Appalachia will host hourly anvil shoots on July 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., launching 200-pound anvils with gunpowder. The event will also feature demonstrations of traditional skills—blacksmithing, broom-making, and sawmilling—to honor Independence Day. WVLT 8
