- ➤ On Sunday, thousands of bikers gathered in Sevierville for the Smoky Mountain Thunder Memorial Ride to honor fallen military in its 25th year. - ➤ The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 76-year-old inmate found unresponsive in his cell just after midnight on Sunday—correctional officers discovered him during routine checks and his body was sent for autopsy at Knox County Regional Forensics Center. WVLT 8
- ➤ Oak Ridge Police and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning along S. Benedict Avenue in Oak Ridge — officials said the investigation is ongoing. 6 News
- ➤ KPD said a suspect is being sought for an assault on a 20-year-old near UT campus that occurred early Saturday morning and left her with significant face injuries—police continue to investigate the case. 10 News
- ➤ Two men in a Ford Mustang were charged after a rollover crash on I-75 in Monroe County just after midnight on Friday at 12:06 a.m.—the speeding vehicle tried to pass a commercial truck, hit a Nissan Frontier causing it to overturn and injure its driver whose condition remains unknown. WVLT 8
