- ➤ The East Tennessee Volunteer Honor Guard, one of the nation’s largest groups, performs hundreds of military funerals and honors veterans during Memorial Day events in Knoxville. President Stuart Hall (80), an Air Force veteran, said the volunteer members take pride in giving closure to military families. Knoxville News Sentinel
- ➤ A Reading of the Names event was held at the Veterans Memorial in World's Fair Park to honor over 6,000 veterans whose names date back to World War I, recognizing those who gave their lives in service. The ceremony reminded the community of the sacrifices made by these veterans. 10 News

- ➤ The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to locate 51-year-old Narendra Patel, who left his West Knox County home on May 25 at 2:30 p.m.—his vehicle was found near a bridge on Northshore Drive west of Concord Road and patrol, aviation and drone searches continued late into Sunday. - ➤ Knoxville Police arrested three teenagers on Sunday after a man reported finding his father’s stolen KIA Optima near Walmart on Kinzel Way, and officers recovered two loaded handguns with a drum magazine from the car. 6 News
- ➤ A landlord was taken into custody on charges of reckless endangerment and aggravated assault after two tenants said he pointed a gun at one and fired shots near the other—an argument over borrowed tools led to the incident on Andrew Johnson Highway in Strawberry Plains Saturday afternoon. 6 News
- ➤ An officer-involved shooting closed the southbound lane of I-75 near mile marker 160 in Campbell County just before 2:30 p.m.—a shooting at an Oak Ridge block party injured several people, Knoxville police are searching for a man accused of assaulting a woman on Cumberland Avenue with significant facial injuries, two men were charged after a rollover crash on I-75 in Monroe County just after midnight on Friday, and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an inmate death while thousands attended the final Smoky Mountain Thunder Memorial Ride. - ➤ Knoxville City Council will vote today on a resolution with Blue Line Solutions to install up to 150 school zone cameras and two noise monitors downtown as part of the city's Vision Zero plan—these cameras will record speeding violations and measure noise levels at key intersections, with fines split so that the city gets 52% while installation begins at least 90 days from approval. 10 News

- ➤ After deadly tornadoes hit East Tennessee and Southeastern Kentucky, many residents are facing significant stress from loss of property and life.
