- ➤ Knoxville Area Transit hosted a community event on Thursday, June 26 where riders joined the KAT Krawl along Route 31 to visit local breweries and hear presentations on transit improvements—bus frequency, accessibility, and infrastructure. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Tennessee Department of Health is partnering with tnAchieves to create a public health scholarship that gives $5K to 20 students who earned their associate degrees and plan to study healthcare at a four-year school. The program will provide seven hours of direct TDH engagement to help students graduate with little or no debt + prepare for in-demand healthcare jobs. 10 News
- ➤ Girl Scout Camp Tanasi near Norris Lake began in 1957 when Girl Scout cookies helped buy its 425-acre land and campers traveled by boat, and the camp added a dining hall in 1961 and a long pool in 1966.
