EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Tennessee Department of Education announced that nine finalists for the state Teacher of the Year award have been named, including Anderson County Schools teacher Chrissy Rose and Bristol City Schools teacher Allyson Rutherford — finalists will serve on the Tennessee Teacher Advisory Council for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school years, with the winner set to represent the state nationally. - ➤ Gov. Lee signed a bill that increases penalties for impersonating taxi and rideshare drivers, making it a Class B misdemeanor or a Class E felony when the offense occurs during another crime.
