- ➤ A Georgia man, 48-year-old Charles Scott, is in custody after deputies found 34-year-old Shelby Williams fatally shot on Triple Oak Street in Rockford around 2 p.m.—he faces charges of reckless homicide and unlawful possession of a firearm and is held on a $500,000 bond. WVLT 8
- ➤ Knoxville police are investigating vandalism over the weekend when windows with pride flags at French Fried Vintage and The Wild Side Salon were broken—French Fried Vintage co-owner Jenny Salata said only the outer pane was damaged and her business will keep supporting the pride community. 10 News
- ➤ Crews found the truck belonging to missing Keith Robert Conley — last seen on July 11 leaving for work — crashed near Highway 129 close to Topside Road with an unidentified body inside, and the Alcoa Police Department will lead the investigation while the Medical Examiner’s Office performs an autopsy to determine the cause of death. - ➤ TVA has finalized a route for a new transmission line from its Douglas Hydro-Pigeon Forge #2 line east of McMahon Hollow Road to the Waldens Creek substation to bring more power to the growing area.
