  • The northbound lane of Highway 321 south at Sandy Shore Drive in Lenoir City was shut down after a crash caused serious injuries—authorities warn that lengthy delays and intermittent lane closures may continue to ease congestion.  6 News

BUSINESS NEWS

  • McGhee Tyson Airport will add five daily round-trip flights with Southwest Airlines beginning March 5th to meet growing travel demand in East Tennessee. The service includes twice-daily flights between Knoxville and Nashville and daily trips to Baltimore, Dallas, and Orlando (announced by Southwest Airlines) as the airport expands with a new parking garage and six additional gates.  6 News
  • Southwest Airlines will start service at McGhee Tyson Airport in March 2026 with four daily round-trip flights+ linking Knoxville with Nashville, Dallas, Baltimore+ Orlando.  10 News
  • McGhee Tyson Airport announced Thursday morning that Southwest Airlines flights will soon be available to travelers, offering Knoxville residents more travel options.  10 News

SPORTS NEWS

  • Thursday night, the Lady Vols earned their first win over a No. 1 opponent—North Carolina—by beating them 2-0 at Regal Soccer Stadium, marking the first loss for the reigning national champion since 2002. They will face Eastern Kentucky Sunday at 1 p.m.  10 News
