  • Target will launch its annual car seat trade-in event at local stores from Sept 21 to Oct 4, where parents can drop off expired car seats for a 20% discount on new baby gear if enrolled in the Circle rewards program. The company said the collected car seats will be recycled by partners into new products — such as pallets and plastic buckets — at all locations except small format stores.  6 News

  • Today, Oak Ridge High School held its annual memorial event to honor lives lost in the 9/11 attacks when hijacked planes struck New York, the Pentagon, and a field in Shanksville — with students thanking first responders for their service.  10 News

  • A UT sophomore competed in the Red Bull Championship Run — a contest where more than 120 participants attempted to scale a greased goal post over the Tennessee River.  10 News
  • At Neyland Stadium, Tennessee played Georgia in a packed game on Saturday as new quarterback Joey Aguilar completed 39 of 59 passes for 535 yards and five touchdowns—while the defense made 14 pass breakups to slow the opponent.  WVLT 8
  • Oliviyah Edwards, a five-star forward, committed to the Lady Vols basketball team Saturday and announced her decision on social media before noon—she chose Tennessee over several other major programs.  10 News
  • The Tennessee Vols lost to the Georgia Bulldogs 44-41 in a close game—fans continue to celebrate the team's spirit.  10 News
  • Tennessee lost to Georgia 44-41 at Neyland Stadium on Saturday after their kicker Max Gilbert missed a 43-yard field goal in the closing minutes—Tennessee also missed key plays on offense, defense and special teams that could have secured the win.  10 News
