- ➤ Children's Bible Ministries is hosting a pumpkin patch fundraiser at 8123 Lamar Alexander in Townsend starting Oct. 15 until Nov. 1—Disney princess visits on Oct. 18 and Oct. 25 will help support its church camps, Bible classes, and programs for prisoners. The ministry, which runs the Tuckaleechee Retreat Center and offers free Bible certification through its internship program, will also organize mission trips to Kenya, Moldova, and other locations in 2026. 10 News
- ➤ Members at Hackney Chapel have begun raising funds—aiming to reach $175,000—to fix the historic 1899 building that once served as a worship place for African-American families and now needs roof, exterior, and interior repairs.
